Searching for Search Tips to Read? Then Read On, Dear Reader (Small Business E-commerce Link Digest – March 11, 2011)
Google launched its so-called “Farmer” update (aka “Panda”) a couple weeks back, designed to take content farms down a peg or two—literally. Some folks think this is a good thing. Some, not so much. And some just want to tell you what to do about it.
Given all this search goodness, today’s links are all about our good friend Google, specifically, and search engine marketing in general. Yes, including search engine optimization. Here’s what’s what on the web this week:
- SEOmoz has a thought-provoking piece in its YOUmoz section, looking at social rank and author authority. The author claims this is the future of SEO. Maybe. But either way it’s a trend worth watching.
- Shameless plug department: My latest piece on Mike Moran’s Biznology blog looks at which Google your customers use, with particular emphasis on what all marketers can learn from search and direct.
- The Wordtracker Academy has published a list of takeaways from SES London. While each tip is light on specifics, the list offers a world of SEO tips worth reviewing.
