You may have heard: the mobile web keeps growing
Opera released its November 2009 State of the Mobile Web and – as I may have mentioned once or twice – it keeps on growing. U.S. users have doubled in the last year, data transfer is up 148% and page views are up 240% (!). Um… damn.
Keep in mind, of course, that Opera doesn’t track the largest mobile web device, the iPhone/iPod touch, because Apple doesn’t permit browsers other than Safari on the platform. Lots of similarity in top sites visited, though, with a key focus on Google, Yahoo and Facebook. Sounds a lot like a mobile, social, local kind of world to me.
